Tea Tasting: Coco Chai Rooibos

Tea Company: DAVIDsTEA

Tea Name: Coco Chai Rooibos

{If you’re into spice-based chais, this one is for you. It’s got a smooth base of caffeine-free, antioxidant-filled Rooibos, and a satisfying kick of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and piquant red peppercorns. Plus there’s a strong hint of coconut, for a slightly exotic twist. Try it straight up or infused in hot milk for a truly fabulous chai latte. It’s the kind of thing you get addicted to}

Tea Type: Rooibos {caffeine free}

Tea Tasting Location: Our "old man's" Arm Chair {love it}

Tea Accompaniments: A few drops of Cream and two Cubes of Sugar {I learnt from my best Katy, mix your Cream and Sugar together first and then pour in your steaming hot steeped Tea last. The way her grandma always made it....and lets be honest, anything done by our elders was always "the way" to do it}

Leave Rating: 4.5 {with my husband gaving it 4.5 as well}
5 for the best and 1 for the worst

Liquor Color: Light Golden Yellow, Soft and Mellow Orange

Aroma: Ginger, Apple, Cinnamon with soft hints of exotic flavoring {couldn't quite put my fingers on the exact exotic item... just smelt like I had drifted to Hawaii

Taste: At first sip I was really quite surprised. I was a little reserved by the smell on what my taste buds were in for. The Spices for me really stood out in the Aroma and therefore left my mind wondering just what my mouth was getting into. However the taste was just Brilliant. Smooth, Subtley Sweet, with a kick of Spice. It almost tasted like a splash of liquor was in there to boot {Malibu to be exact....which I then put two and two together figuring the exotic that I smelt was defiantly Coconut}. A great surprise, assuming I had never had a Rooibos before. However I can tell you this much - it won't be my last! I plan on my next Rooibos kick tonight at about 7pm, the same time I hear the "hockey night in Canada" tune hit out television speakers. Hockey, Peanut and my Husband in the living room, Laptop, Tea and me in our Master bedroom. Just the way I like it.

{I forced a sip on my husband in hopes that his taste buds would have finally aged. Low and behold he LOVED it. Very rare since his only Tea of choice, and by only I mean if he has a tummy ache and wants me to baby him.... is Chamomile Tea .... In fact he loved it so much he finished my entire cup.... thank goodness I made a whole pot - little bugger!}

Apparently someone else in the family enjoy milk in their Tea
